Conference focuses on how freight best practice can add value to LTP3

Steer is sponsoring 'Why freight matters in Local Transport Planning 3’ conference by the Freight Transport Association (FTA).

By Steer

Steer Davies Gleave is sponsoring the ‘Why freight matters in Local Transport Planning 3’ conference, being organised by the Freight Transport Association (FTA). Taking place on 10 September in Coventry, the event will showcase local authority-led projects which have helped ease congestion, reduce carbon emissions and urban noise, improve road safety and tackle lorry routing challenges. Through these examples, attendees will gain a clear understanding of how to transfer the best practices to their own areas.

Chaired by Tony Ciaburro, Chairman of the ADEPT Transport Group and Director of Environment, Growth & Commissioning at Northamptonshire, the conference will bring together experts on freight and logistics and transport planning including SDG’s Pete Zanzottera, who will speak on a road safety cycling panel discussion.
